Enjoy our newly renovated, comfortable suites in our vibrant red, historic, "Jellybean" house in the heart of beautiful St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. Our Home

We are excited to welcome you to our home! We live on the premises and aim to provide you with a personable, welcoming, true Newfoundland experience, consisting of down-home hospitality, good food and new friends to last a lifetime!

You are invited to make yourself comfortable and feel at home in our shared living room, consisting of a cozy sitting area with fireplace and games corner, and our dining area which has 24hr tea, coffee and microwave available. We also offer a shared office/library space with printer.

Enjoy our private garden with a cozy sitting area under the gazebo with romantic lighting or sit by the firepit and enjoy the warmth in the evenings. The garden is for your enjoyment and relaxation, listen to the wind rustling in the trees and the birds singing while you rest awhile in the comfy chairs, put your feet up, read a book or enjoy a board or card game that we have available for your use.

Our Suites

Enjoy a luxurious stay in one of our newly renovated suites, with the comforts of modern life mixed with the antiques and traditions of days gone by. Our guest rooms include a hot, hearty breakfast and afternoon tea, free on street parking, private en-suites, free fast wifi, cozy bathrobes and linens, remote controlled A/C, work station, Smart TV, Keurig coffee maker, mini fridge, electric fireplace and many other amenities.

Breakfast & afternoon tea

Included in the cost of your stay; a hot, hearty, full breakfast is served daily from 7:30-9:00am in our dining room or out on our charming garden patio (weather permitting). Start every day off right with a piping-hot beverage and a plentiful, delicious, homemade breakfast.

Breakfast... consists of a hot breakfast, along with a variety of continental items, such as: Fruit yogurt Parfait, cereals, fruit yogurt parfait, variety of homemade breads, scones, tea biscuits... to name a few. You may decide to choose a protein shake or vegan protein bowl instead of a cooked breakfast!

We try to cater to all dietary choices/restrictions such as keto, vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, gluten free, etc, please let us know your preference ahead of your stay and we will do our best to accommodate!

After a long day exploring our beautiful island come back to The Rock’s Signal Bed and Breakfast, relax and enjoy Afternoon Tea, served daily at 3:00 pm, where we offer coffee, tea and homemade goodies!

St. John's

Wander down a couple of blocks to historic Water Street, full of tourist shops, adorable boutiques and a variety of delicious restaurant options. Enjoy a pint and live music at one (or maybe two? ) of famous George Street's colourful collection of pubs & bars. If you're looking to experience some of St. John's natural wonder, we highly recommend that you take a trip over to Signal Hill National Historic Site with it's winding walking trails around the coast and breath-taking ocean views or take a boat tour to see the puffins!
